Children's Reading Fluency and Prosody

This study aims to explore the effect of prosody on children’s reading abilities. We compare Hong Kong children’s prosodic performances in Mandarin and Cantonese to gain a better understanding of children reading development. The findings will help inform on the teaching and learning pedagogy for bilingual children’s language acquisition and reading development.
